How to Get Your Insurance License

Texas does not require pre-licensing educationTexas Pre License, but the exam is challenging. A prep course gives you the tools and confidence to pass on your first try.

2. Schedule and Pass the State Exam

Register for the Texas licensing exam through Pearson VUEEn Tx Insurance.html Us. You'll need a passing score to move forward.

3. Get Fingerprinted

Schedule fingerprinting through IdentoGO. Your fingerprints will be submitted to the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) as part of your background check.

4. Apply for Your License

Submit your license application to the Texas Department of Insurance via Sircon or NIPR. You’ll need to pay the application fee and upload the required documents.

5. Start Your Insurance Career
