How to Get Your Life & Health License
1. Prepare for the State Licensing Exam
Washington does not require pre-licensing education, but the exam is challenging. A prep course gives you the tools and confidence to pass on your first try.
2. Schedule and Pass the State Exam
Register for the Washington General Lines Life & Health licensing exam through PSITest TakersEn Tx Insurance.html Us. You'll need a passing score to move forward.
3. Get Fingerprinted
Your fingerprints will be submitted to the Washington Office of the Insurance Commissioner (OIC) as part of your background check.
4. Apply for Your License
Submit your license application to the Washington Office of the Insurance Commissioner via Sircon or NIPR. You'll need to pay the application fee and upload the required documents.
5. Start Your Insurance Career
Once approved, you'll receive your license from the OIC and can begin selling life and health insurance in Washington.
