The Illinois Department of Insurance requires:

• You're at least 18 years old.
• You complete state-approved pre-licensing education for each line of authority you want to sell. For a combined Property & Casualty license, that's 40 hours total, with 15 of those hours completed live (classroom or webinar).
• You pass the state licensing exams for each line of authority.
